Co Curricular 1

I have been a fairly active person my entire life, from sports to art and music classes.  From your standpoint, I would seem like your typical asian nerd in high school, being the editor-in-chief for the school Yearbook, first violinist in the symphonic orchestra, and starting outside/defensive specialist for our 3-year undefeated varsity volleyball team.  It was no surprise I became readily involved my freshman year in college.  Maybe that's why I'm never bored...

About the second week of college at Pacific, I got plugged into the
local church, First Baptist Church (which is only about 2 blocks away), playing guitar on the worship team every week.  We would practice about 4 hours a week, and met on Sunday mornings, ready to ROCk onNN!!
I was pretty flexible, switching between acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and even mandolin and the violin.  Through these four years, I would have to say I met about a hundred new Pacific friends, as well as local Stocktonians.  Regardless of what you do, you'll meet new friends wherever you go!  I am still involved with this church to this day.

(in the picture above: me on violin, Seven on guitar, and Jamie on keyboards)

I also found a Christian community within the Pacific Christian Fellowship (PCF), a division of the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship.  We met on Friday nights, and again, I became involved in the worship team playing guitar! :D  PCF was such a breath a fresh air, ending the busy school week with music, fun, and games.  We would have random photo scavenger hunts around the campus and Stockton, skits, and good ol' late night In N Out food runs.  This is also where I met my 'bros', as us Guys like to call it.

That freshman year, I gained a valuable portion of my confidence in front of large crowds, which you will see plays a significant role in my life later on.  The group of friends I made have become my friends for life.
